Blade Point Tools
Blade point tools are recommended for
straight, angle, step and radius dressing on surface, cylindrical and
centerless grinders. They are available with straight shanks or shanks
angled either with 10° or 15°, and can be specified with three, four or five
diamond points. The exact configuration is determined by the dressing
application to be performed.
For best results, the face of the
blade point tools should be flush to the wheel surface, with the dressing
pressure distributed evenly across all the points. |

Multi-point dressing tools are available
either with three, five or seven points symmetrically arrayed along the face
of the tool. Diamonds range in size to accommodate medium, heavy and extra
heavy duty dressing assignments. With more points working on the wheel,
traverses can be deeper and faster. The tools are used almost exclusively
for roughing applications, and on wheels of 12" diameter and smaller.
With their symmetrical design, excellent results can be achieved by even the
least skilled operators. |
